Labour Election Expenses - 2005

In the 2005 General Election, all the main political parties spent large sums of money on their respective campaigns. This was money raised by donors and party members. Given the parlous state of the parties funds after the election, there has been a lot of debate on the subject of state funding for political parties.

If state funding were to be introduced, the parties would be spending your money. But what would they be spending it on?
